After the success of the franchise, J.K. Rowling stated that she was so angry at one time that she seriously considered killing Ron Weasley out of sheer spite. Ron Weasley, portrayed by Rupert Grint, was the lover of Emma Watson’s Hermione Granger in the franchise, and it would have been truly heartbreaking if the lovers weren’t able to have their happy ending.

“Funnily enough, I planned from the start that none of them would die. Then midway through, which I think is a reflection of the fact that I wasn’t in a very happy place, I started thinking I might polish one of them off. Out of sheer spite. ‘There, now you definitely can’t have him any more.'”

The British author further revealed,

I was really nervous. I think it sounded terrible!”

Following the tough trial, Emma Watson starred in the 2012 movie, which added to her impressive filmography alongside the Harry Potter franchise. With the trio staying alive till the end of times, the Emma Watson, Ruper Grint, and Daniel Radcliffe starrer are available to stream on Max in the U.S.
