Gen Z essentially refers to the population born in the early 21st century and well-accustomed to the internet, social media, and other technological advancements from a very young age. While the former WWE Wrestler stands as a very influential and well-known figure among today’s youth, it can’t be denied that it was mainly his career in acting that elevated Dwayne Johnson’s popularity.

Dwayne Johnson took to his Twitter account to announce about his win and thanked his fans in a tweet. He humorously wrote that he thanks his Gen Z fans for letting a Gen X win it.

Following The Rock, the list follows Spider-Man fame Tom Holland in the second place and Johnny Depp in the third. Interestingly, Depp who headlined the news a lot in the recent past got the top spot among a list of Gen X celebrities but Johnson proved to be more successful in tapping into a young fanbase.

Besides the movies, the Seven Bucks Production owner is also hugely active on his social media and has also stated many times that he loves to listen to his fans. This also plays one of the key factors why everyone loves him. The 50-year-old’s latest flick Black Adam failed at the box office and he couldn’t make a name for himself in the DC. With the news of Teth Adam’s absence in DC’s near future, Dwayne Johnson has to wait for a big comeback venture.

It was also reported that Dwayne Johnson rejected many small cameos in projects like Shazam 2 and The Flash which caused many audiences to call him egoistic and the main cause for his eviction from DC. But on the other hand, the Red Notice actor’s fandom is too strong to be shaken by a single setback. Now Johnson is reportedly working on a project titled Red One with Captain America star Chris Evans and he is also planning to make it into a potential franchise.

Red One is slated for a 2023 release during the holiday season but you can catch Dwayne Johnson in action in Black Adam streaming on HBO Max.
