In recent years, few other anime or manga have become as popular as Yuki Tabata’s Black Clover. Despite the show going on a hiatus after Episode 170, the fame following the series has grown at a steady pace. The fans have loved the gripping narrative of how Asta of the Black Bull strives harder every day to come closer to achieving his dream of becoming the Wizard King.

Despite the show constantly being a subject of criticism from Naruto fans, the center of backlash from the community is how the series has shamelessly picked up stuff from the Shonen series.

However, it looks like Tabata-San is bored with it, as he is eyeing to copy one aspect of One Piece, since he wants to keep his magnum opus continuing till the end of time.

Yuki Tabata Wants Black Clover To Continue Till The End of Time

Even though there have been a ton of new-gen anime series such as My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, and so many more, Yuki Tabata’s Black Clover has become a fan-favorite series that has stood out from its rivals.

With a creative world full of magic that centers around Asta, a boy without any magic, he receives a shady-looking grimoire that allows him to wield the ability called Anti-Magic.

The show’s quick pace, that does not compromise with its storytelling, has made it the perfect series that has kept the fans engaged to the series. As a result, the mangaka has a unique dream that resonates quite closely with Eiichiro Oda’s stellar work.

During an exclusive interview via Francetvinfo, the mangaka was asked to explain the success of his magnum opus. Tabata-San stated that he is in the dark following the success of his manga because he rarely leaves his workshop. He said,

I work in this workshop that I almost never leave, so I am not really aware of the success. I would like to take advantage of this interview to thank my readers who have chosen to read Black Clover among all the manga available to them.

However, he emphasized that he would like to resonate the “same feelings” to his readers that he used to get when he used to read manga.

He further added how he would do everything in his mortal capacity to keep the story going. Tabata-San said,

Yes, I would like to and I will do everything to make it happen. I am preparing myself psychologically for not having a vacation for a long time!

It looks like Tabata-San has made up his mind to come after Oda-Sensei’s One Piece, as the show has been airing for 25 years, and it is nowhere close to its conclusion. That’s not all because the mangaka recalls the first memory of the manga that he has read.

In the same interview via Francetvinfo, the interviewer asked him about his “first memory of manga.” The artist instantly replied that it was Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball, which used to air on television.

However, after growing up, he learned about manga and the effort that goes into creating the art form. He said,

It’s Dragon Ball. When I was still in kindergarten, I discovered Toriyama’s manga through the anime that was on TV. And later, when I learned to read, I realized that this anime was actually adapted from manga, and that behind these mangas, there was a job. I knew right away that this was exactly what I wanted to do later.

Tabata-San emphasized that Toriyama-Sensei’s work was the source of inspiration that sparked the passion that is required to become a big name in the anime and manga industry.

Black Clover can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
