Outside of his macho movie star status and dominant heel turn in WWE, the real Dwayne Johnson is really a kind soul who has struggled hard to get to the place where he’s currently. He tries to bring some changes in the world around him through his charitable donations with his massive $800 million net worth (via Celebrity Net Worth) that he has amassed through his work on WWE and Hollywood.

Johnson put out a video recently where he is seen helping out a father-son duo realize their dreams. In the heartwarming video (on X), The Rock donates his truck to Isaiah & Ricardo, who are down on their luck and are struggling to make ends meet. In his tweet, Johnson writes how much he got attached to their story due to its similarities with him and his father.

He continues pointing out that in his early days, he could not provide for his father as he did not have the means to do so (and he cannot bring him back now and help him with his hard-earned money). Helping Isaiah & Ricardo is his way of fulfilling his wishes in addition to their dreams. The endeavor is truly heartwarming, and Johnson also chokes up when he talks about his father in the video. He wrote,

“Sometimes I just miss my dad. Wish I could give him my truck or give him a little cash. When I met Isaiah’s dad, Ricardo – he immediately reminded me of my old man. Hard worker, struggled with hard times, but always did what he could to take care of his family. Ricardo needed was a truck for all his supplies and to get to and from work. I gave Ricardo my personal truck. I gave Ricardo some cash.”

The Rock even gave the father-son duo an additional $100k to ease their financial troubles. Seeing such generosity from an A-list celebrity like Johnson is truly inspiring. He was so moved by their story and its similarities with his own father that he couldn’t resist helping out. Through Ricardo, he believes he is helping a father figure, and in doing that, he is also accomplishing his unfulfilled desires/ inability to help his father out back in the day.

“Starting my MMA workouts tomorrow. I’m coming into this in pretty good conditioning and cardio shape, but MMA is a different animal. And Mark Kerr was a ‘one of one’ monster. I run to this Smashing Machine journey with deep respect and love for all MMA fighters and the culture. Especially those who have struggled with addiction. I’ve lost so many friends (wrestlers) over the years from addiction and mental health struggles – from suicide to, it was just their time to go. This is my love letter to them.”
