American writer Matt S. Wayne joined as the Head Writer of Justice League Unlimited from season three onwards. Matt S. Wayne Wanted to Focus on Two Superheroes While Writing for Justice League Unlimited

Recently, Matt S. Wayne, the Head Writer of Justice League Unlimited, produced by Bruce Timm, exchanged a few words in a backstage interview. He talked about a lot of things starting from how he came to Justice League Unlimited to what projects is he currently working on.

In between, when asked about what things he could have done if the comic had announced a fourth season, Wayne mentioned that he would have loved to write a lot more about Superman and Wonder Woman. 

Wayne said that he hasn’t written much about these two characters and that’s why in the fourth season, he would gone for them (via DC Animated). He explained:

“I would have liked to write more Superman and Wonder Woman, compared to the few lines I did for Wonder Woman and the zilch I did for Superman.”

It seems like Wayne really regrets not creating much scope for both of the above superheroes. Even fans would have appreciated some more lines about their favorite Superman and Wonder Woman.

Apart from what he could have done in the fourth season with Superman and Wonder Woman, Wayne also discussed his journey into the JLU comic. Wayne mentioned that it was due to Dwayne McDuffie’s recommendation that he got to be the Head Writer of the comic. Wayne is really thankful to McDuffie for his trust in him. 

Also, when asked about his favorite superhero characters, he brought up the name of Batman, stating that he loves the tense nature of the masked vigilante. Apart from Batman, Wayne also mentioned the names of Vigilante, Shining Knight, and Tala. 

At the end of the interview, Wayne joyfully said that television has given him a lot, and writing for comics, is his way of returning the favor. Matt S. Wayne is a blessing for children as he is the man behind some of the most popular animated shows of the current generation.
