One of the biggest flops of his career came from a film he had full faith in. However, that didn’t deter him from wanting to star with its actress again in another film. While that hasn’t happened yet, Jackman is thankful that he got to share the screen with her.

Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Ferguson starred in the 2021 film Reminiscence. The film was a box office disaster, earning barely $15 million on a $54 million budget. It is kind of a smear on Jackman’s filmography. However, the actor doesn’t regret starring in the film and wishes that he could pair up with The White Queen actress again. In an interview, the Wolverine actor said:

“It was Hollywood magic, actually, but I would love to do another 10 movies with her. Because she’s A), one of the most brilliant actors out there that I’ve worked with. But she’s wickedly funny, very cheeky, very naughty, and awesome to work with, in every sense of the word. So it was really, I didn’t get to actually work with her a lot.”

The actor also said that he was glad to get the opportunity to star with Ferguson again because in their previous movie, The Greatest Showman, they didn’t share much screen space together. Jackman said:

“Greatest Showman I think we had maybe four scenes together or something like that. So they are not a lot. So it was really nice to dig in a little more.”

Apart from starring with Jackman, Rebecca Ferguson has starred with Tom Cruise as well in the Mission Impossible films. The Doctor Sleep actress first entered the adventure franchise through Rogue Nation. Since then she has been a permanent part of the films and will appear in Mission Impossible 7 as well. In fact, the actress didn’t hide that she had a crush on Cruise and even let him know about it.

“I wanted to be going through it with him. I wanted to be on this adventure. That’s why you do a ‘Mission: Impossible’ film. Also, I knew that I’d have my legs wrapped around Tom Cruise and going, ‘Woo-hoo!'”

So does Tom Cruise know about Ferguson’s crush on him? Yes, he actually does because the actress didn’t hide the fact that she was his fan from a young age. She said, “He was probably my one crush, and yes, I told him.” Guess, dreams do come true for some!
