It is almost impossible to forget that Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem have one of the most stable marriages in Hollywood. When they first met on the set of the 1992 film, Jamón Jamón, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem were both aspiring actors.

The Spanish actor is famous for the depiction of bad guys in No Country for Old Men and Skyfall. Thus, he is also arguably Hollywood’s greatest villain for this reason. In 2017, the actor, who is now a father of two kids, spoke to GQ about overcoming his violent past, and the protracted wait for his wife.

He also stated that there was an undeniable “immediate” connection between him and the 49-year-old actress. 

“There was obvious chemistry between us. I mean, it’s all there on film; it’s like a document of our passion.”

It was 2007 when Cruz and Bardem had another opportunity to collaborate. They reconnected on Woody Allen’s movie, Vicky Cristina Barcelona. This time, things started to move to the next level between these two.

Penelope Cruz And Javier Bardem Got Married In 2010

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem kept their relationship out of the public eye for the following several years. They did not often go out together and would not even talk about their relationship in public. The two actors reportedly got engaged in October 2009.

But it was not until early 2010 that the Being the Ricardos actor publicly declared Cruz to be his “love” during a speech accepting an award. And the couple married in the Bahamas in July 2010, nearly 20 years after they first met.

According to The Telegraph, only family and a some few close friends were present at the intimate and private ceremony.
