The Fast and the Furious franchise is one of the longest running film series in Hollywood and it is far from being done. The series was also instrumental in making the late Paul Walker, Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez household names while roping in high profile antagonists like John Cena, Charline Theron, Dwayne Johnson and Helen Mirren with Jason Momoa being the latest entrant for the 10th film.

The films have gained cult status over the years among action enthusiasts and car connoisseurs who thrive on fast-paced thrills. The franchise’s popularity also initiated a television series, video games and customised toys. While the series has been generally very successful monetarily, its generic quality and similar themes over 9 installments has also created a monotony for certain sections of fans. A new marketing strategy ahead of the release of Fast X is now being trolled by netizens.

Get Paid To Binge Watch? “No Thanks”, Say Netizens

Fast X is fast approaching its release date and fans of the blockbuster action franchise are gearing up for another set of high speed chases and crashes with top stars vying for supremacy. But not all publicity for the film is being appreciated by viewers, especially those who are not loyalists. Netizens trolled a company for offering 1000 dollars to any one who would binge watch all the 10 films in the series, in a new marketing strategy. This initiative was taken down brutally online.

Judging from the scathing comments by fans, it is a possibility that The Fast and the Furious franchise may have overstayed its welcome with too many installments. It now remains to be seen if the 10th film can maintain the cult reputation that the series has developed and enjoyed over the years.

Here’s What To Expect From Fast X

Fast X which is the 10th installment in the long-running action franchise will be the penultimate film in the series, with a final film in the works. The talisman of The Fast and the Furious Franchise Vin Diesel confirmed this in a 2021 interview ahead of the release on Fast and the Furious 9, when Fast X was already in the scripting stage.

“Let’s just say, the fact that you guys know that the studio is saying we can’t cover all this ground that needs to be covered in just one movie, you can only imagine what is to come.”

Reports coming in indicate that the 10th and the 11th films have been shot back to back and will be released in in two-part form with Fast X leading the way in May 2023. The film is said to be more slick and stylish with the action and chases  unfolding in many global locations across the world. Fast X will also keep its reputation of introducing high profile antagonists in each film. This time around, Aquaman star Jason Momoa will bring his arresting charisma and physicality to play the chilling villain who will allegedly team up with popular past villain Cipher, played by Charlize Theron in Fast and The Furious 9.
