Evidently, the Transporter star faced public wrath for “offensive comments” that he made during a conversation with his producing partner.

Despite having no recollection of making any offensive comments as such, Jason Statham still issued an apology via Facebook in 2018. According to a source close to the situation, the actor allegedly repeated “f*cking f*gs” over and over during a heated conversation with his producing partner. The issue got grave when a man mentioned having the clip.

Despite his decorated Hollywood career, Jason Statham faced major backlash when he was accused of alleged homophobia in 2017. A man claimed to possess an audio recording of Statham hurling homophobic insults on the set of one of his big movies.

Evidently getting into a very heated argument while filming his 2015 gambling movie Wild Card, Jason Statham repeatedly kept saying the term, “f*cking f*gs”. A close source mentioned, the argument happened between Statham and his longtime producing partner Steve Casman.

Further, things got out of control when a consultant on the film, R.J. Cipriani, claimed to possess a recording of the alleged homophobic rant. Confronting Statham and making him aware of the recording, Cipriani accused the actor of making “offensive comments”. Although Statham mentioned having no recollection of his remarks, he still issued a public apology.

Fearing the loss of his reputation and damage to his career, Jason Statham apologized publicly. Claiming that he does not remember saying the slur, the actor still issued an apology statement via Facebook. Sources close to the situation, and even Statham’s legal team mentioned the heated argument happened in private and no one can have a recording of it.

Yet, to avoid any mishap Jason Statham took the decision to apologize publicly for his alleged offensive remarks. “Someone approached me claiming to have a tape of me using terms offensive to the LGBTQ community during a conversation I had with my producing partner, on a movie set five years ago.” Statham wrote.

I have no recollection of making any of these offensive comments. However, let me be clear, the terms referenced are highly offensive. If I said these words, it was wrong and I deeply apologize.” Jason Statham added.

The actor further mentioned having no hard feelings for anyone in the LGBTQ community. “Anyone who knows me knows it doesn’t reflect how I feel about the LGBTQ community,” he added. Further, the actor sincerely reflected upon his alleged mistake and said, “While I cannot fix what was said in the past, I can learn from it and do better in the future”. 

Statham’s team later commented, on how the conversation between the actor and his producing partner happened in private, and eavesdropping or taping it would be subject to the state’s Electronic Surveillance Act.
