The actor revealed that when he read the first script of the series, he thought that it would not work as it was too smart for children and it would get canceled after a few episodes.
However, the series ran for many seasons and earned world-renowned fame with its complex narrative and brilliantly written characters. Hamill found out that not only the children but even their parents got interested in Avatar: The Last Airbender and helped it become a success.
The Star Wars actor finally learned that the reason behind the series’ success was its way of talking up to children rather than talking down to them. Fans even loved Hamill’s performance in the show and gave a lot of positive reviews for his depiction of the main antagonist of the series.
