Carrie Fisher’s Memoir Revealed Affair With Harrison Ford
Hans Solo and Princess Leia’s chemistry in Star Wars was made memorable by Harrison Ford and the late Carrie Fisher. Fisher who died in 2016, wrote a memoir that brought to light many unknown truths about the star including her shocking affair with her co-star Harrison Ford who was married at the time. To quote her confessions about the incident which allegedly happened during the filming of The Empire Strikes Back,
“My affair with Harrison was a very long one-night stand. I was relieved when it ended. I didn’t approve of myself. Yes, I love him. I’ll always feel something for him”.
Fisher went on to admit that she wasn’t sure if Harrison Ford knew of her feelings for him as she had never openly discussed her emotions with the Indiana Jones star during their temporary union. Ford on his part, responded with surprise about Fisher’s confessions while also ambiguously stating that he found his past with the late actor strange.

Did Carrie Fisher Break Harrison Ford’s Marriage?
The late Carrie Fisher who gained cult status through her role as Princess Leia in Star Wars, wrote a memoir that created quite a stir. Apart from many confessions about her personal life, Fisher revealed that she and her co-star Harrison Ford were involved in a brief affair during their collaboration. This confession led to wild speculation regarding Fisher’s involvement in Ford’s divorce from his then-wife Mary Marquardt which happened around the same time of the affair. Fisher though, squashed these rumors later in an interview and said,
“Whatever was the state of his marriage, which ended soon after the filming of Star Wars for reasons having nothing whatsoever to do with me, I don’t think of Harrison in any way as a ‘womanizer.’ I think he was lonely in England.”
Fisher went on to call her affair with Ford a minor digression and the only one that The Fugitive star had during the course of his three marriages. The Star Wars veteran stated that she had always had a pleasant rapport with Harrison Ford whom she called a complicated but decent and silent co-star.
