Her eponymous movie, Black Widow, which was released in 2020, became her last appearance as the character. But fear not, Johansson fans, as she is now ready to step into another magnanimous franchise, as now confirmed by the actress herself. After rumors that have been flying around for months, in a recent interview, Scarlett Johansson herself admitted that she is part of the upcoming Jurassic Park movie.

After MCU, Scarlett Johansson Is Officially Joining The World of Dinosaurs

In a recent conversation with comicbook.com, while on a promotional tour for her upcoming movie Fly Me to the Moon, Johansson finally confirmed all the rumors. Speaking of the upcoming movie, when asked what was the thing that excited her the most about being a part of this series, Johansson excitedly said: “Everything.” She then went on to add that she is a big fan of the franchise, and getting to be a part of it is very special to her. She told comicbook.com

I’m an enormous Jurassic Park fan. It’s one of the first films I remember seeing in the theater. I remember seeing it so vividly. It was like life-changing. It was mind-blowing. I cannot express how excited I am.

While she is a newcomer, scriptwriter David Keopp has been a part of this franchise since the beginning. He was the one who wrote the script for the first two movies of the original Jurassic Park series. Now he is back, and ready to cause some more chaos with the upcoming movie, having joined forces with Edwards.

This will be his first Jurassic Park movie that will not be directed by Steven Spielberg. But with Scarlett Johansson leading the story, and Edwards being one of the most prolific directors, whose work in the sci-fi genre is applauded by many, the next Jurassic Park movie should do pretty well for itself.
