Recent revelations that the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege Akutami, has already decided on the story’s conclusion and has only discussed it with their editor at Weekly Shonen Jump: Junya Fukuda startled fans of the series. Fukuda acknowledged that he and Akutami had spoken about Jujutsu Kaisen’s ending during the One Piece-themed live variety show.

@JJK_Mya posted a sneak peek of the interview on X. Fukuda acknowledged that he was aware of how the series would conclude and expressed feelings of fulfillment with the result. The finale of Jujutsu Kaisen is highly anticipated, but Fukuda is refusing to disclose information about specifics.
Even Akutami said in December 2023 that they intended to end Jujutsu Kaisen by the end of 2024. This also puts more evidence on the table about Akutami being serious about having a decided ending for Jujutsu Kaisen. However, the current events about how the series is going on is confusing them too.
Gege Akutami is Unsure Where Jujutsu Kaisen is Going
According to @JJK_Mya, after winning Kendo Kobayashi Manga Awards in 2021 for Jujutsu Kaisen, Akutami, while thanking Jujutsu Kaisen fans commented about how they are unsure where the current events of Jujutsu Kaisen manga are going.

Despite being confirmed about the ending of the series, Akutami’s confusion seems that they may be planning to change some events in the current storyline of the series.
While fans don’t know what part of Jujutsu Kaisen manga is Akutami confused about, they can only hope that this does not affect the series in a negative way.
