Although fans have complained about the fact that Clint never shared the spotlight and was being shelved in the corners for the bulk of his span, the former UFC commentator seems to have some radical takes on the ingenious archer.

Joe Rogan bashes Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye

Joe Rogan has been a contentious name in pop culture considering his incongruous takes on illustrious names and the podcaster hasn’t shied away from expressing his grudge against one of the associates from the Avengers lineup. In one instance he allocated his hatred towards the concept of Hawkeye working alongside the Avengers in episode #1879 while stating,

I got to say, I f**king hate Hawkeye though. That stupid Marvel character, all he has is a bow and arrow. It’s so dumb, everybody else is The Hulk and they f**king can do crazy sh*t. Dr. Strange can summon other universes and this dude is just shooting sh**ty arrows at aliens.

In another podcast with Alonzo Bodden, while discussing the Marvel superhero’s power extent, he denounced Jeremy Renner’s archer again and slammed the two-time Oscar nominee’s role in the MCU. “There are aliens flying around in spaceships and he’s shooting arrows at them. Like that’s so dumb. He never runs out of arrows. It infuriates me” he said.

Hawkeye, whose strength is considered to be the most accomplished archer who never misses a shot, the idea of him assisting the Godlike associates on their quest against intergalactic beings infuriates Rogan.

Joe Rogan misses the point of Hawkeye

on the surface it seems pretty fatuous for a man with only a bow and arrows to team up with Earth’s mightiest heroes on their venture to save the Earth, subsequently, Joe Rogan seems to miss the whole point of the character for being in the lineup.

Even though Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye sounds like a pretty nobody in the grand scheme of things, he is indeed a very crucial slice of the Avenger’s dough. Hawkeye as a character starts as a misfit who will do his job no matter the consequences, from helping a scared Wanda and aspiring her to be brave, to helping Natasha in pulling herself back from the dark pit and landing her another shot at redemption while inspiring Tony Stark to settle with a family and to induce the idea of living life to Captain. He isn’t someone who would hulk out and destroy the city or clash with his best friends over contrary principles as he can see the good in everyone who does his job without any second queries and never thrives for any sort of recognition.

Hawkeye isn’t the most important Avenger, yet it’s safe to assert him as one of the building blocks of the team. If the Avengers are a house, Hawkeye is the foundation. If they’re a boat, he’s the hull. There’s no exoticism in it and is invisible when he does his job best. Even though Joe may be right about Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye not being as flashy as his more competent peers, he sure is one of the most important aspects of the original 6.
