The impact that one show had can truly be incredible to imagine and Sarah Rafferty’s series just so happens to be one of them. Suits has been one of the most influential dramas to have ever existed. Not because of the cultural impact per se, but just of how big of an audience it managed to reach. Starring Garbiel Match and Patrick J. Adams as the main protagonists of the series, it brought about great success.
With the spin-off series already in the process of development, many have begun to wonder just how the story would progress further. Rafferty, who played the iconic Donna Paulsen also came forward to address the doubts about whether or not she would be reprising her role once again.
Sarah Rafferty is Open to Discuss Donna’s Potential Return
Sarah Rafferty brought out the enigmatic force that Donna Paulsen was, to life in NBC’s Suits. The series saw so much success and ever since its return rise in fame because of streaming services, a spin-off of the series was already introduced. Although Pearson stands as one show that branched from Suits, another is already in the works.
“Donna lives in my heart always. I’m always open to let her out to play.”
Rafferty, in an interview with The Wire, opened up about what she feels to perhaps once again dawn the role of Donna. She stated that to bring forth that role would not be an issue for her because it is most definitely a part of her. She would be more than open to the idea of having to play Donna once again. What Suits could not achieve as a network television show, it achieved in no time because of the influence and reach that streaming services provide.
Sarah Rafferty Talked About Suits Returning Success
Sarah Rafferty got an opportunity to address Suits success via streaming platforms as she discussed with The Wire. She stated that many had told her how the characters in the show almost felt like family to the audiences because of how well fleshed out they were.
“I was gobsmacked and grateful. You can’t really get your head around what billions of minutes mean. It’s kind of too much to compute, except for being super grateful that people were finding it and that it was providing a service to them in any way, whether it was escapist, or that they were connecting with their friends or their family members over it,” she stated. “I’ve had some feedback that people just feel like they know the ‘Suits’ characters so well because there’s so many episodes. They feel like it’s family with that familiarity. I think that’s incredibly beautiful and gratifying to hear. That built me up.”
She even thanked the people who managed to surface the success of the show in such a grandiose manner. The way she saw the series rise brought about a sense of pride within her, one making her feel grateful to be a part of the show.
