The franchise, which consists of five films, has a straightforward chronological order, making it easy for fans to binge-watch whenever they want to. The series began in 2002 with The Bourne Identity, adapted from Robert Ludlum’s trilogy.

Universal Pictures promptly produced two more movies based on Ludlum’s remaining Bourne trilogy books, namely The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, before taking a five-year hiatus. Upon the franchise’s return, neither Matt Damon nor the director of the second and third films, Paul Greengrass, were involved in The Bourne Legacy.

However, Damon and Greengrass reunited for the fifth movie, Jason Bourne, to provide closure to Damon’s character. For a long time, fans wondered if the franchise would ever come back and they finally got their answer last year.
