Julia Roberts feels she is risking her career by avoiding plastic surgery
Mona Lisa Smile actress Julia Roberts has always relied on traditional methods in the case of her beauty regime. She is not in favor of using plastic surgery to make her beauty last longer. The actress shared in an interview with InStyle,
“I brush [my teeth] with baking soda. [My grandfather] would put a big heaping mound of it on his toothbrush. He had only one cavity in his entire life. Sometimes that’s all I do as far as a regimen goes. Look, I’m happy if I have on moisturizer and ChapStick!”
She added that she relies on the features she was born with that make her beautiful,
“For me, at this point, I’m clinging to my good genes and lots of hugs and kisses from my husband.”
Roberts feels that saying no to plastic surgery may hurt her career in the long run. She shared with The Guardian,
“By Hollywood standards, I guess I’ve already taken a big risk in not having had a facelift. But I’ve told Lancome that I want to be an aging model – so they have to keep me for at least five more years until I’m over 50.”

Julia Roberts recalled her horrible experience with Botox
A majority of Hollywood stars are opting for facial uplift and other plastic surgeries, and Julia Roberts also could not resist the charm. She underwent surgery, and the effect was light and temporary. However, the actress was not satisfied with the outcome.
The Mexican actress told Access Hollywood,
“I tried Botox one time and was permanently surprised for a couple of months and it was not a cute look for me.”
Though she is against plastic surgery, she does not resent people who do so.
“I don’t want to judge somebody who can’t turn their head or move their lips. I don’t know — if you want your chin on your forehead I’m not one to [judge]. If that’s going to bring you joy, I’m all for it.”
Talking about herself, the actress shared,
“I want my kids to know when I’m pissed, when I’m happy, and when I’m confounded. Your face tells a story… and it shouldn’t be a story about your drive to the doctor’s office.”
Roberts believed that cosmetic surgery can cause drastic changes to a person’s body, and sometimes it may not be worth it.
