In the world of anime, Hayao Miyazaki’s Studio Ghibli unarguably holds an incredibly strong presence, having expanded its portfolio among the likes of fan-favorite projects like The Boy and the Heron and Howl’s Moving Castle. That said, what if this respective studio worked on taming animated projects for the Stranger Things and Harry Potter franchises?

Obviously, that sounds like a sweet sight to behold for all those anime fans out there. And, as it turns out, it just might be a pretty cool thing to witness. This comes after a fan account for the studio shared a series of concept art for J. K. Rowling’s tremendously beloved saga, followed by the fan artist sharing her own animated perspective on The Duffer Brothers’ iconic horror saga.

Fan Artist’s Anime Perspective of Stranger Things is Giving Studio Ghibli Vibes

The Duffer Brothers‘ Stranger Things series has done a lot more than just steal pretty much everyone’s attention, with its fifth and final season in line to continue to leave fans bewildered. A notable horror series, the show’s supernatural elements haven’t ceased to catch viewers off-guard in the most unexplainable manner possible.

That said, reimagining the saga as an anime would truly be a fantastic sight to behold. So felt Emmi Hyvärinen as well, an artist from Finland who decided to make use of her excellent artistry to bring about some concept art about how the live-action series would look as an anime. Here’s how it would look from her perspective (via @hyvarinenemmi on X):

Obviously, the concept art is indeed jaw-dropping, and merely reimagining the Millie Bobby Brown-led lore in this animated version is a ‘worth looking forward to’ sight for the eye. But while that’s that, fans can’t help but deny how this concept art is giving some serious Studio Ghibli vibes, almost as though it was the studios who designed this. Here’s what those fans are saying:

All of this being said, it indeed does look as amazing as ever in this animated version. Plus, judging from Hayao Miyazaki‘s studio’s past experience of delivering fan-favorite pieces like The Boy and the Heron, Spirited AwayKiki’s Delivery Service, and Howl’s Moving Castle, transforming this series into an anime wouldn’t be a missed shot for them.

While having the Stranger Things saga helmed by Miyazaki’s anime studios into an anime would truly be a sight to behold, another fan has expressed their view on one other saga being helmed by the respective studio: the Harry Potter franchise. This comes after @StudioGVibes on X shared a series of concept art for the same:

Of course, fans became as interested in this project as though it were actually being made. This is evident from how they have been pointing out just how much they love this idea and would be seated as soon as it all materializes. All in all, here are their respective opinions on J. K. Rowling‘s lore becoming anime by the studios in the comment section:

With this being put out there, it would indeed be one of the best ideas of the century to have Miyazaki’s anime studio tame both of these respective franchises and develop them into their animated versions. Perhaps it is time to start a new campaign for the same?

You can stream the Harry Potter film series on Peacock and Stranger Things on Netflix.
