Expressing gratitude with words like “lucky” and “proud,” Zoe Saldana conveyed the immense satisfaction of having a multitude of supporters throughout her Marvel journey. In a heartfelt video captured on her last day filming Guardians 3, she extended her appreciation to director James Gunn for his unwavering belief in her. While bidding farewell to the role, she humorously admitted she wouldn’t miss the extensive four-hour makeup routine.

“Every time I feel like I’m about to fall out of my sorts, I look around and I see people that I’ve up so much to be here because they have a true passion, a genuine, sincere love for what we do, and that always reminds me that we are very blessed and very lucky and very fortunate to be here. And I want to thank you because you have been a wonderful person. You believed in me before I even believed in myself. So thank you for sticking by me, and… I’m gonna miss Gamora, but I’m not gonna miss the four-hour makeup.”
She mentioned that initially, she had committed to just “one” movie before Guardians of the Galaxy, but over the course of a decade, she got the opportunity to be a part of the role, allowing her to depart with a sense of fulfillment from the journey.
Can Gamora Make a Comeback In The MCU?
Given Saldana’s previous acknowledgment of occasionally feeling “stuck doing… franchises” like the MCU and the Avatar series, witnessing her conclude her journey with the Guardians franchise doesn’t come as a major surprise.
