Talking with Vegan Food and Living, the Black Swan actress talked about how she came to change her diet to a completely plant-based one. In 2008, when she was just starting to hang out with the Spider-Man: No Way Home star for their then-upcoming film Brothers. She said that he was the influence behind her changing her dietary habits as she also cared for animals and that even a vegetarian diet was harming them in some way, which led to the change. She said:

“I was around Tobey Maguire in rehearsals and he’s vegan and I was eating this energy bar, which was really nice.“I’m honest about caring about animals. You know, eggs and milk products, there’s a lot of animal discomfort in that, too. I don’t know if it’s a permanent thing.”

Therefore, having a positive and caring outlook on the world and living beings, she decided to make a big change in her life.
