With the return of the famous detectives came quite a few insights into what the dynamic duo is like in real life. It won’t be a far reach to say that the reel-life sibling relationship somewhat bleeds into real life as well. Recently, Millie Bobby Brown let her fans in on what her relationship with Henry Cavill is like and how it varies significantly from the relationship she has with her Stranger Things co-stars, who are almost all her age.

While promoting her new movie Enola Holmes 2, Millie Bobby Brown revealed what it was like working with co-star Henry Cavill and what kind of relationship they have off-screen. Brown told Deadline that working with Cavill is like a different, but positive, experience for her. She compared it to her Stranger Things co-stars and stated that the Cavill-Brown dynamic was much more mature.

“It’s different because I grew up with Noah and Charlie. I met them when I was 10. So, for me, it does feel like your schoolmates. And with Henry, it feels like a real adult relationship. Like a really good friendship, a really healthy one. One that we have terms and conditions.”

Brown added that while on set she was a bit of a “manic,” it was Cavill’s rationality that proved to be complementary to her personality. Director Harry Bradbeer revealed that while all of this was completely true, the Man of Steel actor is trying to be more fun. Enter Brown. Bradbeer stated that Brown was the one who “tickles him up a little bit and surprises him. And he goes with it.” Bradbeer continued that while neither he nor Cavill has sisters, it was another reason why they both enjoyed working with Brown.

When asked how her relationship with Cavill varies from her relationship with her Stranger Things co-stars, Brown stated that it felt like she grew up with them and that they have no boundaries, whatsoever. However, in Cavill’s case, he had set up certain limits. Apparently, the Godzilla vs. Kong actress isn’t allowed to probe into Cavill’s personal life. If she did, she’d be rewarded with a mere, “Millie, shut up. No.”

“I met them when I was 10. So, for me, it does feel like your schoolmates. And with Henry, it feels like a real adult relationship. One that we have terms and conditions. I know Henry. He has terms and conditions with me. I’m not allowed to ask about his personal life. It’s like, “Millie, shut up. No.” And I’m like “Understood.” Whereas with the Stranger Things kids, it’s different. There’s no boundaries because it’s like we’re all siblings. But with Henry, he’s very strict with me, which I appreciate.”

So while Cavill is a bit strict with Brown, it seems like she doesn’t mind at all. Looks like their relationship is quite like the one shown in Enola Holmes 2!

The sequel brings forward a theme of women empowerment, one which Brown seems to be quite passionate about. The Stranger Things actress related to how Enola was overlooked by the people just because she was the sister of the great detective, Sherlock Holmes. She stated that while she had been previously undermined by the industry, she is more focused on the positives, including playing a lead in a film. Brown added that, unlike the first movie, she would now be working with more women, which made her quite excited.

“The first time around I was by myself. I was this girl trying to find herself. And the second time when Harry pitched me the idea, I thought, “Oh my gosh, I’m going to be working with more women–that’s perfect.” This is exactly what I wanted the film to be about. I don’t mind not being the only one. I really want others to be a part of the film.”

The way Brown, accompanied by the team of Enola Holmes 2, beautifully brought up the real-life story of the Match Girls’ strike of 1888 was truly a treat to the eyes. The whopping 93% rating Enola Holmes 2 received says a lot about how the movie made its way to the hearts of the viewers.

Enola Holmes 2 is available to stream on Netflix.
