Vivica A. Fox is friends with both Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith after having shared screen space with both of them. And after witnessing the infamous slap incident on the grand stage of the Oscars, the actress was naturally upset. In an interview on The Wendy Williams Show, the actress stated, (via People).

“This is going to be difficult for me. These are my peers. I’ve done a movie with both of them. Set It Off with Jada and Independence Day with Will Smith, which absolutely changed my life. When I saw this video last night, it made me cry, I’ll be very honest with you guys.”

However, after having seen Pinkett’s Red Table Talk about the incident, she called out Jada Pinkett Smith for her ‘lack of accountability’, in the same interview stating,

“Will Smith was defending her honor, that’s the reason he walked on stage and slapped because he felt like his wife had been offended so for me to see no accountability as a partner… I just wish we could have just a little more accountability and for it to not seem so self-righteous on Jada’s part and that’s my feelings.”

While many agreed with her, some people called her out for hailing Pinkett accountable and even called her comments ‘disrespectful’, especially since she once expressed regret over her body and seeing that Rock’s comments were directed towards Pinkett’s appearance, calling out Pinkett to take ‘accountability’ might be a little too much.
