Jesse Eisenberg’s portrayal of Lex Luthor has always been a controversial topic of discussion as one-half of the fans would be against him while the other half would be giving the actor massive support for his interpretation. The role itself has been a complex one to bring to life, but according to the actor, he was enjoying his time while playing Lex Luthor.
Lex Luthor happens to be a billionaire scientist whose brain is quite on par with the smartest people in the world of DC Comics. His maniacal and psychopathic tendencies merge a lot with his evergrowing rivalry with Superman, making the two arch-nemeses. This dynamic was felt to be missing in the majority of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, however, not everyone felt that. Some fans, especially now, are going out of their way to appreciate the actor and his portrayal.

Jesse Eisenberg’s Experience While Playing Lex Luthor
Jesse Eisenberg had explained his outlook of what inspired him to play Lex Luthor as he deemed himself not a fan of comic books and hence stated that the character itself was not someone with whom he had grown up alongside.
“To me, it was not playing a role that I’d envisioned since childhood. To me, it was a chance to play this great character that this great writer wrote, and I loved doing that. So, to play it is a joy, and to not play it isn’t something that I’m going to be ashamed to tell my kids about, because that is not an important genre in my life, even though I loved doing that movie.”
It may seem highly unlikely to have the actor come back once again because unlike Henry Cavill’s return, which had been wished upon for a long time, Eisenberg’s return did not get the same amount of fans interested. In fact, fans were even criticizing and complaining about the same, stating that it had instead been a mistake.
The Fans Now Give Out Positive Remarks For Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor
It has been about eight years since the audience first saw Jesse Eisenberg as the genius antagonist. Fans now are returning to their initial stands and these massively include those who follow Zack Snyder. They all state that his acting had been incredible, and amazing, enough for him to perhaps return someday as the character.
Both steal every scene they’re in, both are steps ahead of their protagonist, both are truly evil, they both have incredible dialogue, and they both achieve their goal for the most part. I know you guys think it’s easy to hate on BvS, but I’m coming from an objective POV.

Stroke of genius, casting.
EXACTLY who Lex Luthor would be today. We see it. Creepy, Calculated, and blinded by self fulfillment — All rooted in mental illness and a deep insecurity. https://t.co/sXeVqaCmF9

Not only that, but fans even compared his villainous impact to be the same as Heath Ledger’s Joker. Some even stated that his portrayal had been rather beautiful and they rewatched the movie numerous times just to see him.
