Jennifer Aniston Thinks The Theater Going Experience Has Changed Due to Marvel Movies

During an interview with Variety, Jennifer Aniston, famously known for her work in the series FRIENDS, was asked a question about why she was switching back to television shows. To this, the actress replied that over the last couple of years, she had been noticing how the quantity of TV was so much higher, making her quite envious of what it had to offer.

“It wasn’t until the last couple of years when these streaming services were just sort of exploding with this amount of quality that I actually started to think, ‘Wow, that’s better than what I just did.’ And then you’re seeing what’s available out there and it’s just diminishing and diminishing in terms of, it’s big Marvel movies. Or things that I’m not just asked to do or really that interested in living in a green screen.”

She also mentioned that another reason why she made this switch was that she saw that movies that were being released in cinema were slowly diminishing and the only thing dominating the theaters were Marvel movies. She added that she was not a big fan of this as she was not really considered to be in movies and neither was she interested in being part.

What Does Jennifer Aniston Miss In The Film Industry Nowadays?

During this interview, Jennifer Aniston went on to talk about what she wished cinema was like today. She mentioned that she missed the days when Meg Ryan was the center of the film industry. Ryan is well known for her work in romantic comedies like You’ve Got Mail, When Harry Met Sally, and Sleepless Nights In Seattle.

“It’s changed so much. I think we would so love to have the era of Meg Ryan come back. I just think it would be nice to go into a movie theater, sit cozy. I think we should have a resurgence. Let’s get the “Terms of Endearment” back out there. You know, “Heaven Can Wait,” “Young Frankenstein,” “Blazing Saddles,” “Goodbye Girl.””

Aniston mentioned this particular time in the cinema as she missed being able to go to the movie theater and have a laid-back experience, being comfortable and enjoying a movie. She went on to say that she wished for this era of movies to make a comeback, mentioning a series of movies that embody what she is talking about.
