Erin Moriarty Couldn’t Wait For Drake To Hit Her Up On Instagram
During her appearance in A Little Late with Lilly Singh, actress Erin Moriarty talked about the time she discovered music artist Drake follows her on Instagram. She could not believe it at first, and even when she saw his name on her followers’ list, the actress remained skeptical.
“A friend of mine reached out to me a few days ago, and she texted me, and she was like, ‘Yo, we need to talk.’ And I was like, ‘What did I do?’ And she was, like, ‘Drake follows you on Instagram.’ And I was like, ‘You’re lying.’ And I was like, ‘That can’t be a thing.’ I mean, ‘cause I am obsessed with him, and I adore him. But, I didn’t follow – I didn’t follow him on Instagram. And so I was like, ‘How can that be a thing?’ And I looked it up.”
More shockingly, Moriarty admitted she does not follow Drake on social media. She claimed she only follows people close to her circle.
“Well, my approach to Instagram has always been, like, I follow some people who I definitely, like, worship. For the most part, like, I actually tend to follow people who I just know personally.”
The True Detective actress told everyone about this momentous event, even revealing that she followed him back afterward on the platform. Moriarty said live on television that she is waiting for Drake to send her a message on Instagram.
“I think I texted, like, everyone I knew. And I was like, ‘This is – This is it.’ Like, this is the pinnacle. I can die happy. And I followed him back. And I’m just waiting for him to slide into my DMs. I’m ready.”
Now that they are mutuals on Instagram, it’s possible that they have formed a conversation already. Moriarty did not reveal if she ever got the chance to talk to Drake.
