Daniel Craig had to undergo several breathtaking action sequences and stunts to bring one of the best James Bond on-screen. This also led to the 56-year-old sustaining several injuries during the film series. He has never shied away from openly talking about his painful journey as Bond.

According to the Cowboys & Aliens actor, he should not have cried so much over his James Bond injuries. He regretted the fact it overshadowed his other contributions to the part.

Before Daniel Craig‘s James Bond, Pierce Brosnan’s 007 was widely criticized due to several factors. The Logan Lucky actor brought a much-needed-uniqueness and grounded approach with him to the franchise. But Craig admitted that some of his personal decisions did not go well.

Fans will remember how Daniel Craig shockingly responded to Time Out when he was asked about his return as James Bond before the release of Spectre- “I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists.” While it can be understood that the actor was too frustrated with the repeated injuries he had to sustain for the role, Craig later regretted that the unnecessary whining could have been skipped.

Be it Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan’s injuries in Live and Let Die and GoldenEye or Sean Connery’s near-death experience in From Russia With Love, almost all the prominent 007 stars have suffered injuries during their reign as James Bond.

Daniel Craig admitted to the Los Angeles Times that the unwarranted crying overshadowed his creative efforts for the role.

I’m pissed off at myself that I ever even spoke about them. It’s my fault because I kind of didn’t shut up about the fact that I had all these injuries. The physical side of the movies was just the job. I had to do it. I trained, learned the fights, that’s kind of my brain not working. I put way more work into the creative side of those movies than I did into the physical side of those movies.

The No Time To Die actor had a lot of injuries while doing Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectre. Anyway, he confessed that he was proud of his reign as the iconic British spy. He was widely praised for re-inventing the character and bringing thrill and grittiness to the series, unlike Pierce Brosnan’s highly illogical take.

After the success of the previous two films, it was expected that Rian Johnson would love to complete at least a trilogy. The last two films had ensemble casts and had a structure similar to the stories by Agatha Cristie. From the reported cast of the 2025 film, the threequel looks no different.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Jeremy Renner will play a significant role in the forthcoming threequel. Besides Craig and Renner, it will also star Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, Josh O’Connor, and Cailee Spaeny.
