Wolverine is easily one of the fiercest superheroes and fan-favorite characters to have ever existed in the super-verse, both in the comics as well as the live-action saga. That said, one of his most famous battles in the comics has been with the Hulk, which was easily one of the most iconic because both characters see absolute red when driven by rage.

However, as entertaining as this fight was, it could never make its way into live-action in any of the projects from the Marvel Cinematic Universe before. But now that Hugh Jackman has returned as the adamantium-clawed mutant, this eminent sequence could easily make its way into the MCU with Jackman’s hero bringing down the green, furious giant to his knees.

Second, now that Hugh Jackman has returned to the cinematic superhero-verse as his fan-beloved mutant, fans are really looking forward to having him flex his adamantium claws in front of an even more infuriated Hulk in live-action, just like he did in the comics.

This need becomes even stronger after watching this ultimate rage-filled duo combat each other in the critically approved animated movie from 2009, Hulk Vs. The perfect mix of action and humor to make fans truly hooked with the piece, this animated feature showed the massive green giant going on his smash fest with a pissed-off Logan right at his toes to keep him down.

A clip recently shared by @comicodigy on Instagram featured one of the most epic sequences from this very fight. While the out-of-control and truly enraged giant tries to smash the Wolverine down, the latter furiously jumps on top of him to have him down on the ground before injecting his sharp claws into his chest, earning a raving scream from his opponent.

But then Hulk gets up, more incensed than ever before, and continues his smash-fest at the Wolverine, who cleverly manages to dodge most of them. Then Logan strikes again, coming at full speed and ripping at the Hulk’s chest. Then, as he turns to slam his opponent yet again, Wolverine once again dodges him and digs his claws right into the green giant’s chest.

This quick and incredibly hurting move brings the big green giant right down to his knees, fuming as he tries to collect himself through the red flashing in front of his eyes. Wolverine, on the other hand, stands as outraged in front of him as ever, looking like, if the Hulk wasn’t immortal, he could even slam him right there and take his life.

Obviously, this was effortlessly one of the most breathtaking brawl sequences that the fan-favorite mutant has ever had with anyone, and [SPOILER ALERT] the recently released installment in the Deadpool saga gave a three-second-long teaser of this seething duo about to get really rough with each other, although it didn’t show any fight sequences.

That being said, there is a high chance that this scene could make its way into a future live-action film from the MCU since Jackman has already returned to reprise his role. Thus, Marvel fans are now demanding Kevin Feige bring this legendary sequence to the upcoming 2027-scheduled movie, Avengers: Secret Wars.

Taking to the comment section of the Instagram post, fans are having multiple reactions to this famous scuffle between two of the most fierce characters to ever exist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sharing their respective perspectives, here’s what they have to say:

Hey bub let’s try again 😈” ~ @smit.bhatt

“I’m surprised that Adamantium can hurt Hulk” ~ @jessehampton01

While this doesn’t exactly seem unlikely, the fact that Marvel has already introduced Smart Hulk in the saga poses a problem to this dream coming true. However, since the Secret Wars will be a multiversal event, this issue could be resolved as well.

Plus, as mentioned before, Marvel has already teased this fight in Deadpool & Wolverine, so there is a high chance this makes its way into at least one of the upcoming projects from the cinematic universe if not Secret Wars. But for now, fans just need to keep up their hopes and see how this series of events turns out to be.

Hulk Vs. (2009) is available to be streamed on Prime Video, while Deadpool & Wolverine is out in theatres now, and Avengers: Secret Wars holds a current release date of May 7, 2027.
