Marvel prepares Deadpool & Wolverine to be a box office smasher, keeping the movie as the only slate from the studio in 2024. The marketing of the movie is also in full swing as Reynolds recently unveiled the look of the popcorn bucket for the movie, which features Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman in the movie. But it made DC’s Nathan Fillion sick to the stomach.

A promise is fulfilled, Ryan Reynolds is bringing his own version of the popcorn bucket after Dune 2’s sandworm popcorn bucket set the trend. Reynolds’ popcorn bucket features Wolverine making another humorous statement at Hugh Jackman’s expense. A recent video shared by the actor gave fans the ultimate tease of the long-awaited bucket.

Reynolds further confirmed his participation in the war of the popcorn buckets as he captioned 2024, which will be remembered as “the year the War of the Popcorn Buckets.”

The video shows the popcorn bucket with Wolverine’s head attached to it in a weirdly sexual manner, complementing the R-rated movie. Wolverine’s mouth is wide open, with no teeth, from where you can fill your popcorn. Further, the classic yellow mask with black highlights the essence of the movie, albeit there is no report of featuring the Wolverine mask in the movie.

Further, the video shows wildly drizzled butter on his nose. Also, his signature red shade was added to the font of “designed by Deadpool” markings on the bucket. Reynolds’ bucket has since gained huge attention, which is most likely to give an edge to the box office gross of the movie.

The Deadpool and Wolverine hype is astounding. The movie has been in constant buzz since the announcement of the third installment to the hit franchise. Now, after Reynolds’ teasing the popcorn bucket, DC’s new Green Lantern star in James Gunn’s universe, Nathan Fillion, felt very uncomfortable.

The actor joined the comments section of the video on Reynolds’ official Instagram handle. “I’m… uncomfortable?” Fillion commented.

Fillion was recently cast as Guy Gardner, better known as Green Lantern. The Rookie star will appear in the Gunns-directed and David Corenswet-starrer Superman. Following his debut as the superhero, Fillion will appear in DC in many projects. Reflecting on the character, Fillion previously told Collider that Guy Gardner was 90% flawed.

It’s what makes people real and what allows audiences to relate, because we all know what that is. We all have our own. We witness it in other people. Guy Gardner is 90% flawed and doesn’t care. That’s one of his flaws. I think there’s a real freedom in playing that. So, for a guy who likes to play flaws and flawed people, Guy Gardner is a gold mine.

Interestingly, Reynolds previously played Green Lantern in DC in Martin Campbell’s 2011 movie, Green Lantern, but the movie met with several negative responses, and eventually, his DC tenure ended. Reynolds, however, found success with MCU’s Deadpool, and he took the franchise to an astounding new height.

Deadpool & Wolverine will hit the theaters on July 26.
