Chad Stahelski confirmed during an interview with Screen Rant that he is developing a John Wick TV series. Lionsgate, the franchise’s studio, has been very encouraging of this effort, seeing the possibility of telling interesting stories that don’t necessarily need the scale of a full-length feature film.

“Lionsgate has been incredibly supportive on this, and we’re really trying to get a John Wick TV show going. And that would allow me to tell a lot of stories that maybe wouldn’t sustain another ginormous feature, but great characters and great stories that we could do in the short form on TV. Which would be fantastic. We’re still working out, there’s a lot of things to sort out and think about. Do we have enough stories? Do people want to see that? But I’m very open to that format as well. So we’ll see.”

By taking this route, we can delve more deeply into multiple characters’ arcs and stories without having to produce multiple films or TV shows.
