Melissa Rauch, who portrayed the character of Bernadette Rostenkowski was a late entry into the show but was beloved all the same. Portraying the role of Howard’s wife in the sitcom, Rauch had to go through several pregnancies throughout the run of the show. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Rauch talked about how she felt like she was pregnant for 900 years!
“I feel like I was pregnant for like 900 years. It might be a real medical thing cause I was pregnant on the show, there was pregnancy in real life, and then pregnant on the show again. So I was always wearing some form of bum to the point where like I don’t know where to put my hands anymore”.
She further continued,
“There was a lot of times [where people were like] ‘Are you wearing the bum?’ and I’d be like ‘Yes, I’m wearing the bum!'”
Working alongside Kaley Cuoco and Mayim Bialik in the sitcom, the actress has had a lot of memories with her co-stars. Bialik and Rauch developed a different friendship during their time on The Big Bang Theory since both actresses joined around the same time.
Mayim Bialik Shared A Heartfelt Message To Melissa Rauch
After the sitcom ended, Mayim Bialik, who portrayed the character of Amy Farah Fowler, took to her Instagram to talk about her co-star Melissa Rauch. In a heartfelt message, the actress revealed that she and Rauch had been through a lot.
“This lady and I have been through a lot together as the new kids on the block of season 3 of [Big Bang Theory]. We have cried together and laughed together and raised kids on a set together. I couldn’t have made it without her with any semblance of sanity. Thank you [themelissarauch] for being you.”
Following the end of The Big Bang Theory, Melissa Rauch pursued further projects while mostly voicing animated characters. The actress is currently attached to the television show Night Court where she plays the lead role of judge Abby Stone.
