Avatar: The Last Airbender star Ian Ousley has recently revealed his desire to play DCU’s Teen Titans role of Garfield Logan. The factory reset of DC Universe by James Gunn and Peter Safran has certainly opened doors for several actors to have their shot at DC Universe after the inception of Chapter 1, Gods and Monsters.

In the near future, Gunn might look to use the popular series, Teen Titan, with an entirely new cast. But ahead of that, Ousley revealed that he has been keen on playing Beast Boy— one of the primary characters of the superpowered teen band. However, fans are not quite so sure as they find another actor better suited for the role.

Ian Ousley who recently found fame with his Avatar: The Last Airbender live-action portrayal of Sokka, has now set his eyes on DCU’s Beast Boy. “I am really a huge fan of Titans, so I would love to be Beast Boy, that’s like a dream role for me. So, maybe one day?!”

This year on March 24, The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reported that a live-action Teen Titan movie was at work with Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’s Ana Nogueira writing the movie. Although, much of the movie is still under wraps, the movie’s confirmation reveals the fact that DC is quite serious about the superhero band’s more cinematic appearances. Of course, Teen Titans has been quite popular both in comics and the screen adaptations. But for now, it’s hard to tell if DC would see Ousley as Beast Boy.

Iñaki Godoy who has several movies and shows including MexZombies, Who Killed Sara? and The Imperfects to his credit gained an immense fanbase with his recent breakout role, Monkey D. Luffy, in Netflix’s One Piece live-action adaptation. After Ousley revealed his desired DC role, fans came forward to advocate Godoy for the role of Beast Boy.

Of course, as fans claim Godoy suits better in the role, it is not too hard to imagine the actor playing the DC character and nailing it. His performance in One Piece has certainly made it easy for fans to associate the actor with the role. Also, his Luffy kind of resembles Beast Boy, at least in terms of the level of energy both the characters possess. Godoy as Garfield Logan could also be the first choice of DC Studios as he would be able to play the character for more than a decade considering his age.

You can stream Avatar: The Last Airbender on Netflix.
