In the years 1996, the first film of the franchise was released, which became an instant hit with the audience as well as presented Tom Cruise in a new light as an emerging action star in the industry. More than 25 years later, it has flourished and bloomed into a $3.5 Billion franchise with six films under its banner. And now, with the seventh installment being impatiently waited for, John Rocha has brought some very intriguing and exciting news to share about the upcoming film.

But this time, as stated by podcast host and industry insider John Rocha, the next film will have one of the most gritty and fear-inducing stories that the franchise has seen before. He said:

“It is the darkest installment you’ve seen from any of the Mission: Impossible franchise films, so get ready for that. This is a villain that’s a topical villlain and a villain that I think will shake out some of you to your core”

Along with this, he also promised that the film would also have the staple action and stunt sequences that will take the audience’s breaths away, while also having some of the very best character development in the franchise in a long while, making it a complete and well-balanced package.

As stated by Rocha, the film is said to have a villain that will push Ethan Hunt to his absolute limits as he gains control of a new weapon of mass destruction that threatens humanity itself. And to protect the world from this approaching evil, Hunt may have to sacrifice the one thing he believes in.
