Floyd Mayweather, a former professional boxer who retired in 2017 with an undefeated record, gave his opinions on rapper Sean Combs a.k.a Diddy’s r*pe allegations. Instead of condemning the rapper, Mayweather defended him, saying, “mistakes happen.” These tone-deaf remarks landed Mayweather in trouble as fans were not ready to let this slide.
Over the past few months, many lawsuits have been filed against Diddy accusing him of r*pe, s*x trafficking, physical abuse, s*xual assault, and revenge p*rn. In December, a woman accused Diddy and two other men of r*ping her in 2003 when she was 17 years old. Diddy denied all these allegations and called for the dismissal of these lawsuits.
Floyd Mayweather is under scrutiny for supporting Diddy
Former boxer Floyd Mayweather recently appeared on the Pivot podcast and acknowledged rapper Diddy’s controversies. The former boxer refused to condemn Diddy’s behavior and instead, supported him,
“I’m not going to speak bad about P Diddy. He’s still a black man, mistakes happen and I can’t say if it is or if it’s not a mistake but things happen in life, and P Diddy’s business is P Diddy’s business. It’s not my job or anyone else’s job to go on the internet and stomp him and kick a man while he’s down.”
On top of that, Mayweather claimed, “Even if it happened to my daughter I would be hurt but that’s a choice that my daughter made.” The former boxer’s statements invited a lot of criticism on social media as he refused to hold Diddy accountable for his actions.

Diddy’s career is doomed by controversies
Diddy has been in the headlines for his controversies for a while now, his troubles began in November 2023 when the rapper’s ex-partner Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit against him accusing him of r*pe, s*x trafficking, and physical abuse. In the end, the two reached an undisclosed settlement and the lawsuit was dismissed.
On November 23, 2023, another two lawsuits were filed against Diddy by two plaintiffs, accusing the rapper of s*xual assault and revenge p*rn. One of the lawsuits claimed that in 1990 or 1991, he and Aaron Hall had s*xually abused a woman, with Diddy recording the incident.
On December 6, 2023, a lawsuit was filed by a woman who alleges that Diddy r*ped her with two other men in 2003 when she was 17 years old. The rapper instantly denied those allegations on social media.
