After the disastrous failure that was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for Activision Blizzard, the future seems much brighter thanks to the exciting release of Black Ops 6, which promises to deliver everything fans have been waiting for. However, it’s public knowledge that the company always tries to release a new game from this franchise each year.
According to sources close to Infinity Ward, it seems that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is not in the best possible condition. There are rumors that the company is pressuring the development team and is dissatisfied with their progress.
Infinity Ward Is Facing Difficulties With the Development of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4
Having earned the title of the lowest-rated game in the entire franchise, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 disappointed fans in the worst way possible. The studio behind the title, Infinity Ward, rushed the game’s release, lacking a proper campaign mode and a poorly executed zombie mode, which led to a highly negative reception.
This lack of content and poor performance seem to be haunting the studio, which is now struggling to continue developing the next game in the series.
According to reports from some studio sources, it appears that Activision Blizzard is putting a lot of pressure on the development team to release a more solid and compelling game in order to avoid repeating the same mistakes.

An insider on X reports that the team is struggling with the mechanics and narrative of the upcoming Modern Warfare 4, set to launch next year. It seems the studio has hit a dead end.
Is Activision Blizzard Applying Too Much Pressure Once Again?
This is not the first time rumors have surfaced about a development team associated with Call of Duty. The company already has a well-established and negative reputation in terms of how it treats its employees and development teams for various ambitious projects.
Activision Blizzard should be very cautious in how they handle these employees, especially considering all the changes happening in the industry.
Naturally, fans began commenting on this post on X, saying that the studio is struggling to adapt to implementing new character movements, particularly in contrast to what Treyarch is doing with Black Ops 6 and all the changes they are making.
If things continue like this, Modern Warfare 4 could face significant challenges in releasing in the condition it should, given the failure of the previous game in this series.
Black Ops 6 will be released in October for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. This title will continue to include previous-generation consoles because many players have not yet transitioned to the new ones, and the majority of users are still on those platforms.
This game aims to be one of the franchise’s major highlights after several years of mediocre titles. The community is hopeful about this new installment in the series.
