Superman: Legacy would be the first film under James Gunn’s reboot of the DCU, that would showcase a younger version of Clark Kent, who is struggling to balance his life as a new journalist, and being a superhero. But it seems that Gunn wants the movie to be flawless as he would be working behind the camera to direct the new Superman movie.

A fan did some research about Gunn and they were surprised that the Co-CEO will be directing the movie.

A fan was glad that Gunn would be directing the new Superman movie as his directing style would go well with the movie, but they are worried the Co-CEO doesn’t include too much humor in the movie because The Man of Tomorrow is a hushed and deep character.

Another user wonders if there are a lack of directors as James Gunn is directing and writing every DC movie.

Another fan stated how the news was not surprising because everyone knew this would happen.

James Gunn is an extraordinary filmmaker, and his previous DC projects were immensely successful because, unlike other DC films, his films had humor which made the film and TV Series an entertaining watch. However, unlike the characters in his DC films, Superman is not a funny character, and it would be intriguing to see how the Peacemaker creator would fit some comedy in the movie.

“A few years later I saw how to tackle Superman [and] took it on.”
