Season 5 Reloaded has brought a ton of content to the game, including operators, weapons, and modes. But with huge updates like these, there’s bound to be some data regarding future updates left behind. And this case is no different, as the recent patch has given us a glimpse into the next big crossover.

According to leaker CODSploitz, Diablo 4 and Modern Warfare 2/Warzone 2 will have a crossover during the Halloween event. The two icons that belong to the Diablo 4 characters Lilith and Butcher were also present within the game files.

As always, take this news with a pinch of salt, but this collaboration is definitely in the realm of possibility. Previously, Call of Duty has collaborated with other Activision properties, namely Crash Bandicoot, so a crossover with Diablo isn’t too far-fetched of an idea.

There have also been recent rumours regarding crossovers with Skeletor from Masters of the Universe and Alucard from Hellsing. Call of Duty has been getting major collaborations at a consistent pace for a while now, and it definitely doesn’t seem like Activision is slowing down anytime soon.

At the very least, an operator skin is almost certain to be present. Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 have collabed with games like Tomb Raider and brought over iconic characters like Lara Croft. Not only that, COD has also collaborated with huge musicians such as Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dogg, bringing their likeness onto the battlefield. It would be pretty cool to be able to play as Lilith while gunning down your enemies.

There’s also the possibility of a new game mode, one in line with the spirit of Halloween. Diablo 4 definitely fits that aesthetic, so it would be a welcome change of pace. And on that note, some cool new Diablo-style weapons (like the Windforce as a melee weapon) would go a long way in cementing this as an awesome event.
