Jason Momoa is slated to appear in the second installment of Aquaman in December this year. While he spends his time protecting humanity from threats underwater and on the surface, that doesn’t stop him from taking on roles that can push his limits on another side of the fence.

Recently, Momoa starred in a long-running franchise alongside some of the most talented A-listers in Hollywood and gave them a really tough time. But, despite his majestic debut in the film, it has struggled to get the numbers in at the box office. 

According to a Tweet from @CultureCrave that comes via Variety, it hasn’t been able to go beyond the collections of the sixth installment which came out 10 years ago. But, fans have been wondering if it’s not Jason Momoa after all. Is it because of his Aquaman co-star – Amber Heard?

Amber Heard, after appearing in small-budget films like 3 Days to Kill (2014) and Pineapple Express (2008), got her massive deal that came in the form of 2017’s Justice League as Princess Mera opposite Jason Momoa.

Not to mention, filmmakers would want to steer clear of Amber Heard. Made on a staggering budget of $340 million, the tenth installment of this mega-franchise accumulated $719 million. Heard’s co-star’s performance garnered much appreciation from fans, but it appears as if she may have jinxed it.

Jason Momoa will be returning as Dante Reyes in Fast X Part 2. The film is expected to arrive in cinemas on April 4, 2025.
