However, in her recent appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, the actress shared how she might return for a reboot only if they start the reboot or the reunion immediately.
Sofia Vergara Lays Out Her Condition to Return For a Modern Family Reboot
Sofia Vergara’s portrayal of Gloria Pritchett shined immensely as she has been showcased as a fiery woman with an exaggerated Colombian accent. However, her comedic skills were visible when she shared the screen alongside Ed O’Neill’s Jay Pritchett, and it was the core reason why the show became so popular among its viewers.
In a recent episode of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Vergara was asked about a possible reboot or reunion of the show, after she had shared a picture on Instagram with the cast of the show. The actress was hesitant at first, as she replied,
“No, it’s only been four years. I don’t know, but it doesn’t seem right. I feel like we need a little bit more time.”
However, the actress laid out her condition of immediately working on a possible reboot or reunion of the show, only if the production starts immediately, as Ed O’Neill is old.
“Well, we don’t have much time because Ed [O’Neill] is old.”
Her comments have excited the fans of the show, as Jimmy Fallon suggested that the cast of the show should work on a holiday special. The idea was thrilling as she added how she stays in touch with the cast of the show through a group chat.
Sofia Vergara Ripped a TV Host For Mocking Her Colombian Accent
Everyone loves Sofia Vergara’s Colombian accent, as she portrays the role of Gloria Pritchett. However, she is not a fan of following a strong American English accent, and it was evident when during an appearance in a show, she mispronounced multiple words. However, Pablo Motos, the TV Show host of El Hormiguero tried to mock her for that very accent she had in Modern Family. The news was covered Entertainment Tonight, where she initially appeared to be confused by the question that came out of the blue.
“How do I say [Modern Family] in English? (Host: It’s because, in English, it’s like-) It sounds wrong? (Host: No, No.) Oh, because you speak better English than me? Ah.”
However, she did not stop there as she continued to poke fun at the host by listing off their accomplishments and mocking him with her achievements.
“How many Emmy nominations do you have in the United States, sorry? How many times were you nominated for the Golden Globes, sorry?”
Though it all got sorted out, Sofia Vergara would clap back at people for mocking her accent, and she would remind people of their place if push her too far.
