However, that doesn’t mean they did not have any issues in their relationship. Billy Bob Thornton starred in the 2001 romantic drama alongside Halle Berry. The film also had a love scene featuring the lead stars of the film, which later caused tension between Thornton and his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie.
Talking about it, the Fargo star shared that the scene “felt so real” that they were also able to feel the “heaviness surrounding the circumstances in the story.” While the scene turned out very well for the film, it raised some concerns for the Maleficent star.

During an interview, Billy Bob Thornton explained his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie’s reaction to him filming a love scene with Halle Berry. He shared that after finishing the shoot, he told the Eternals star about it, after which she wanted to know some specific details about the take.
“I go away and do a film like Monster’s Ball with a very explicit s*x scene with Halle Berry,” he said. He further added that when he called Jolie and told her that he “did that s*x scene with Halle Berry,” he did not expect her to go into details about it.
“You are then asked if you actually touch her,” the Goliath star recalled Jolie’s question. He said that he answered that he did touch her as it was in the scene, but it did not make things any easier. He claimed that being “a thousand miles from home” filming a s*x scene with a beautiful woman like Halle Berry, made things only harder for his marriage.
Their relationship did not last long, as the couple would later be divorced in 2003. But Thornton has claimed that they do not have any bad blood between them and are still good friends.
