Much like any other celebrity, she is not fond of rumors and allegations that are far from the truth. As an actress who has had the majority of her personal life in terms of her relationships out in public, certain rumors really cross the line for her. Such was the case with Jolie and Antonio Banderas while filming Original Sin.
Angelina Jolie Had To Fight Off Cheating Allegations
Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderas were shown to be quite passionate towards each other while filming Original Sin. Being skilled actors, they did an incredible job in whatever way they felt right. However, this became an opportunity for the audience to start dating rumors about the two. These rumors were rather bizarre considering that both the actors had been happily married at that time.
“And I’m madly in love with my husband, we have such a great relationship, and the idea that either one of us would, would want anything more than our marriages is really insulting and angering.”
Jolie was married to Billy Bob Thornton and Banderas was married to Melanie Griffith. The actress pointed out how it was absurd that these rumors existed in the first place considering how both the actors were merrily in love with their spouses at that time. She even focused on how they both had families that they cherish dearly. The Maleficent actress blamed it on the intense scenes they had in the movie. Jolie stated that had it not been for the level of passion and intensity in their lovemaking scenes, then these rumors would be miles away. However, ironically enough, Banderas could not even touch the actress during the sequence.
Antonio Banderas Could Not Touch Angelina Jolie During Their Intense Scene
During the filming of Original Sin, Angelina Jolie was married to Billy Bob Thornton. The marriage of the two actors had been very public with the constant public display of affection and even wearing each other’s blood around their necks. Jolie even had a tattoo of the actor on her arm. In fact, she had various tattoos all around her body. This became a problem for the movie and the actress had to be covered in makeup so as to hide them.
“And when there are 150 guys around you and every 20 seconds they shout ‘Cut’ and then mess with your hair and the positioning of your arms, it’s not s*xy at all.”
Antonio Banderas even ranted about how that caused a lot of issues during the one lovemaking scene they had throughout the movie. It was supposed to be special and had to stand out from both the actors’ previous movies. One way in which this was made possible was the fact that Banderas could not touch Jolie. He concurred that the makeup had stopped him from touching her because it could very easily be smudged. Furthermore, the constant interruptions only added to why the scene was not as fun as they hoped.
