Dwayne Johnson is one of the leading actors, businessmen, bodybuilder, and former WWE athlete. The huge fan following and massive fan base that he brought from his WWE days have helped him greatly in securing his position in the industry. Dwayne Johnson was even the highest-paid actor in Hollywood, and if not for his recent box office failure, Black Adam, he would have still maintained the top spot.

Scarlet Johansson’s Black Widow Was an MCU Let Down

Scarlet Johansson is one of the most successful actors in the industry who claimed her way to the top, being the highest-paid female actor for many years and appearing as one of the 100 most influential people in the world really boosted her popularity among the general public. Her starring in the MCU franchise was one of the best things that could have happened to the MCU fans and also for herself as her role in the multi-billion dollar franchise was a stronghold for her as she gained immense fame and popularity from it.

“I still hunt out the good stuff because I don’t want to be in Black Widow. It looks like garbage to me. It looks like a bad video game. I’m embarrassed for those people. I’m embarrassed for Scarlett.

I’m sure she got paid five, seven million bucks, but I’m embarrassed for her. I don’t want to be in those movies. I really don’t. I’ll find that kid director that’s gonna be the next Kubrick and I’ll act for him instead”

Stephen Dorff, a famous actor, and director, famously known for his star as Deacon Frost, the antagonist in the movie Blade shared in an interview with The Independent that the movie seemed like a video game that no one plays. He went on to express that though the pay was extremely good for the movie, he would rather star in any other movie. Black Widow had a total box office collection of only $379 million after its release worldwide with a budget of a massive $200 million.

Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam Was a DCU Let Down

Dwayne Johnson is certainly one of the most proficient actors of today’s generation and he has earned the respect of many by the way he carried himself from nowhere to the place he is now, earning millions and millions of dollars with each movie and show. Him being the highest-paid actor is definitely hard-earned and he could have retained the position if not for his box office failures, mainly his Black Adam box office disaster. Even after teaming up with MCU’s greatest rival, DC, Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam failure was totally unexpected and unprecedented.

“I think Divinity should be bought by the majors, and if the majors were smart—if DC or any of these companies were doing cool things—they would look for the next Eddie Alcazar, because that’s the future. Not making Black Adam and worthless garbage over and over again.

But all this other garbage is just embarrassing, you know what I mean? I mean, God bless them, they’re making a bunch of money, but their movies suck. And nobody’s going to remember them. Nobody’s remembering Black Adam at the end of the day. I didn’t even see that movie, it looked so bad.”

Stephen Dorff yet again dropped a bomb on DC this time around while in an interview with The Daily Beast, as he went on to say that producing box office majors and record-breaking movies should be their aim with such high profile actors and not making garbage movies like Black Adam. Dorff went on to claim that even though they might be earning millions from it, not a single soul will remember the movie as soon as they walk out of the theatre. Black Adam went on to earn $393 million at the box office with a budget of nearly $200 million.
