The operation was successful but resulted in the destruction of planet Meridia and opened a black hole. Some have theorized that the Illuminate intended the Helldivers to use the Dark Fluid and did all the heavy lifting for their imminent return and finish what they started.
Perhaps the developers should focus on fixing most of the issues regarding the efficiency and firepower of primary weapons before embarking on a more ambitious path. Regardless, the gaming community is excited about this leak and hopes it will live up to the hype.
