As the release of the much-awaited GTA 6 pulls closer, fans seem to have no requests from Rockstar Games but one, hoping the studio will finally take away an infuriating mechanic that has been annoying gamers for more than a decade.

The previous installment, Grand Theft Auto 5, came out in 2013 and was considered to be way ahead of its time. Importing many different mechanics to promote hyper-realism, one of the mechanics implemented by Rockstar required an exaggerated amount of input from the player, and gamers desire nothing but the erasure of this feature in GTA 6.

Rockstar Games Fans Request the Studio to Remove One Feature From GTA 6

When the 2013 title was released, fans were a bit annoyed to find out how in order to sprint, they would have to spam the assigned button on their controller repeatedly.

Choosing to hold on to it would trigger the character’s jogging animation instead, hence leaving gamers with no choice but one if they wished to move faster with one of their 3 different playable characters.

While the option to switch up the setting was later introduced in the game’s online mode, it ironically remains absent for the story mode players to this day. This has made fans wonder why the studio would take such a step and deliberately keep a chunk of their players with a rather annoying controller layout.

What Should GTA 6 Developer Avoid Introducing in the Game

Developers should avoid taking inspiration from this one place for the upcoming game

Keeping aside the mechanics that need to be reworked, a new sequel for the iconic Grand Theft Auto series would mean the studio will have to innovate once again, bringing in elements never seen before if they want to attract a bigger audience than before.

The online mode proved to be a huge success for the predecessor of GTA 6. Moreover, there remains no doubt it will be implemented once again for the coming game as well.

However, this can also result in some unwanted scenarios, especially if the developers were to take the wrong inspiration from the online games of today, such as Fortnite and other similar titles, making use of features such as emote wheel, and more.

What else do you think the developer should implement in the upcoming game? Let us know about it in the comments below!
