Although now she is a big actress, much like everyone else, she also started off small. With so many iconic roles, she has done minor and embarrassing roles as well. One of the most embarrassing parts she ever played was also one of her first roles ever. Coincidentally enough, it was on Late Night with Conan O’Brien.

Scarlett Johansson Was Reminded of Her Past

Scarlett Johansson’s career may be at its peak right now but it started on a skit in the Late Night with Conan O’Brien. It was not only her first time on a big show but also her first paying acting job ever. Despite how far she has come, her time in 1993 remains an embarrassing memory in her mind for as long as she can remember.

“It was a very embarrassing piece of acting to look back on now. But I remember this big, red-headed man.”

While she was revisiting the show a decade later to promote Bill Murray’s Lost in Translation, she was reminded of her time there. Her role in that skit was nothing major. She was only supposed to spell out some words that were handed to her. Although she was trying her best, she kept messing up and destroying the word altogether. Everyone seemed to enjoy her efforts and congratulated her for the same, except for Andy Richter, who kept correcting her nonetheless.

Scarlett Johansson Was a Huge Fan of Andy Richter

Scarlett Johansson and Andy Richter did not hit it off as well because the latter kept correcting an eight-year-old kid about her spellings on live television. However, it did not stop the actress from expressing just how big of a fan she actually was.

“I remember Andy after the show, he was just thrilled that I was his biggest fan at the time, and he gave me this signed picture, and I still have it.”

She got a signed picture from him, one which she cherished dearly. It was so precious to her that she kept the picture with her even after a decade of meeting him. Despite it being an embarrassing memory for her, it was a significant moment in her life.
