During his visit to Okinawa, Japan, he had the most surreal experience of his life.

Ralph Macchio had a heavenly experience while shooting for Cobra Kai

Ralph Macchio features in the 2018 television series Cobra Kai an American martial arts comedy-drama, which is a sequel to the original The Karate Kid films. The first two seasons of the series were released on YouTube Red/Premium in May 2018 and April 2019 and later on Netflix acquired its rights and since then the later seasons of the series have been released on the streaming giant.

Until now five seasons have been released and the fans are eagerly waiting for the final season of the series, which has been halted due to the ongoing writers’ and actors’ strikes. However, the previously released seasons have enjoyed fame, and the actors involved in the series were also praised for their performances.

Apart from this, the cast of the series got to experience the best view while filming season 3 of the series. The third season was shot on the island of Okinawa, located in Japan. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the lead protagonist of the series, Macchio described filming the scenes in Okinawa as surreal. He said,

“Visiting the ‘Land of Miyagi’ was almost a spiritual one for me.” 

The place holds great significance in history as it is the birthplace of karate and the site of one of World War II’s bloodiest battles.

What can be expected from the final season of Cobra Kai?

After the huge success of Cobra Kai season 5, it will be interesting to see what’s in store for the last and final season of the series. Although nothing major has been revealed regarding the premise of season 6, to fans’ dismay, the release date of the series has been pushed back a little, following the ongoing double strike in Hollywood, as reported by Movie Web.

The plot will encompass of same star cast including Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Courtney Henggeler, and Xolo Maridueña. Moreover, it has been reported that Hilary Swank might reprise her role in season 6.

Cobra Kai season 5 is currently streaming on Netflix.
