Charlize Theron Had To Train Harder Than Her Male Co-stars!

The Mad Max: Fury Road actress has had to endure a lot during the shooting of her intense movies. Starring in the iconic 2003 movie The Italian Job, Charlize Theron had to go all out for the role of Stella Bridger.

As per reports, the actress talked about the time she felt insulted during the shooting of the movie. In her talks at Comic-Con, the actress revealed that she was forced to work six weeks more than the rest of her male co-stars. She felt quite insulted by the gesture but she emerged stronger than before.

“I realized there was still so much misconception around women and the genre. Even though in that film the action is really based on on cars, we had to physically do a lot of that stuff. There was a real pressure to pull off those stunts with the actors … there was a very unfair process that went with that.

She further revealed,

“I was the only woman with a bunch of guys and I remember vividly getting the schedule in our pre-production, and they had scheduled me for six weeks more hard training than any of the guys. It was just so insulting.”

The actress further revealed that her co-star Mark Wahlberg had quite a tough time shooting the movie. As per Charlize Theron, Mark Wahlberg threw up during training for the movie since he was so nauseous from doing 360s.

It seems that Charlize Theron’s workout paid off since Mark Wahlberg literally threw up during the shooting of The Italian Job. Charlize Theron was quite proud of herself since she outdid her male co-stars in terms of performance.

“I was like, ‘All right, you guys want to play this game, let’s go’. I made it a point to outdrive all of those guys. I vividly remember Mark Wahlberg, halfway through one of our training sessions, pulling over and throwing up because he was so nauseous from doing 360s.”

The 2003 movie was well received by the audience as The Italian Job earned a rating of 7/10 on IMDB and 72% on Rotten Tomatoes. The Italian Job, starring Mark Wahlberg and Charlize Theron is available to stream on Paramount+.
