Considering Sylvester Stallone’s incredible acting skills, one might think his kids are just as flawless as he is, on screen. But unfortunately, it seems Stallone’s prolific acting skill has skipped his daughters, as they learned the hard way that acting isn’t an acquired talent.
Appearing in a handful of movies, Sylvester Stallone’s daughters opened up about the difficulty they faced during their filming experience. Appearing in Stallone’s 2014 comedy thriller Reach Me, his youngest daughter noted how she struggled to even say her one-liners.
Sylvester Stallone’s Acting Talent Skipped His Daughters
Sylvester Stallone might have proved his acting skills in the entertainment industry with his acclaimed action flicks and sports dramas, but his talent seems to have skipped his daughters. Being a father of three daughters, the actor realized that his kids were born without his talent for stagecraft.
Growing up, therefore, his daughters spent more time and focus on their education rather than the entertainment industry. Instead of following in their father’s footsteps, all three of Stallone’s children ventured into their respective fields of passion. Sylvester Stallone‘s oldest daughter Sophia now runs a digital bookclub and co-hosts the Unwaxed podcast with her sister, Sistine.
Meanwhile, Sistine followed her mother, Jennifer Flavin’s footsteps, and ventured into modeling. On the other hand, Stallone’s youngest daughter Scarlet kept focusing on her education and pursuing the same after graduating high school. It seems, none of his daughters ever planned to even get into their father’s line of profession.
Sylvester Stallone’s Youngest Daughter Had a Humiliating Acting Debut
As a matter of fact, the decision to keep away from acting didn’t come out of the blue for Sylvester Stallone’s daughters. According to their 2017 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, all three of the Stallone sisters noted their experience in the entertainment industry. Appearing in a bunch of films, Sly’s three angels shared their experience.
“I don’t think any of us have the acting gene.” Sylvester Stallone’s oldest daughter Sophie noted. Revealing her acting experience being one of the worst things that happened to her, Sophie noted why she chose to follow her passion rather than acting. Meanwhile, Stallone’s youngest daughter Scarlet seemed to have a wild story that perfectly explained her decision to stay away from stagecraft.
“I literally just had to say one tiny line [in Reach Me], and they had to cut that in half! It was pretty humiliating.”
Experimenting with acting, from time to time Sylvester Stallone’s youngest daughter made her acting debut in 2014, in her father’s comedy movie Reach Me. Unfortunately, Scarlet seemed to have the worst experience of all, as her performance was humiliating enough to open her eyes to her acting talent. Eventually, all three of Stallone sisters were convinced that acting wasn’t their hereditary talent.
