The Oscar winner and her husband were arrested in Atlanta after Toth was pulled over for allegedly driving while he was inebriated. Witherspoon was also handcuffed for reportedly disobeying orders to remain seated in the car. Toth pleaded guilty to DUI but ultimately escaped jail time while the Wild actor was asked to pay a fine for obstruction.

The Sweet Home Alabama star subsequently addressed this incident again in actor-model Jameela Jamil’s I Weigh podcast, where she honestly admitted to making stupid decisions in her life that she sorely regretted. Jamil praised Witherspoon for showing the courage to own up to her mistakes and apologize in public.
