Parker Finn is bringing another treat for horror fans with his 2022 horror mystery Smile sequel. The White Lotus and Euphoria star Lukas Gage has joined the cast of Smile 2 and he has a positive update on the film but didn’t reveal it without sharing an intense moment on the set.
While the sequel is still unnamed, the movie has actually wrapped filming, at least the part of Gage as he described appearing on a SiriusXM episode. Good news for horror fans: it is quietly moving ahead at a decent pace and will soon be ready to hit the theaters.
One Scene In Smile 2 Made Lukas Gage Sick
Horror films are intended with the motivation to scare the audience relishing the thrill in them with goosebumps and beating hearts like drums. But it is no less pain for the actors as well, they have first-hand experience with horror and Parker Finn’s Smile 2 has made Road House star, Lukas Gage sick to the bone. “I finished weeks ago a couple weeks ago he finished,” Gage gave the update on the movie appearing in a recent episode of SiriusXM podcast before explaining the horrid incident he endured on the set.
“And it’s so good. I’m so scared to give any spoilers away. I just, it’s if you love the first movie, you’re going to love this one. It’s so terrifying it was the first time I’ve ever been on a set where I was genuinely afraid and I actually got sick to my stomach in one take. I didn’t think I would, I just, it was so gory and so disgusting.”
The actor somehow managed not to vomit on camera, “I vomited off camera,” he added with his candid appeal. Gage’s scare has certainly elevated the excitement level that horror fans would adore with enthusiasm.
Lukas Gage Was Not the Only One To Be Sacred
Not every cast and crew vomited like Gage but it has certainly made everyone sweat or go breathless with awe. Gage further revealed that the movie is legitimately scary and has affected most people on set.
“It, it’s legitimately that scary I’m not even just lying I’ve never been on something that truly terrified me the crew was like terrified filming CU I don’t know Parker Finn is he knows that, that genre so well I’m excited that you guys are excited,” he told SiriusXM.
Gage’s comment on the movie sparked the thrill and the excitement following the massive success of the first installment. Alongside Gage, the movie also stars Kyle Gallner, Naomi Scott, Rosemarie DeWitt, Dylan Gelula, Raúl Castillo, and Miles Gutierrez-Riley.
Smile 2 is slated for 18 October 2024 release.
