Starfield is one of the most anticipated video game releases of the year, in spite of it only releasing on Xbox consoles and PC. The latest game by storied developer Bethesda promises players yet another opportunity to sink several hours into exploring one of their games and experiencing all it has to offer. What did some Twitter/X users say about Starfield?

Although Starfield launches on September 6th, those who ordered the Premium edition or Constellation edition of the game get to play the game earlier, from September 1st. What were some concerns ahead of Starfield’s launch?

The primary concern that players had leading up to Starfield’s launch was with regards to potential bugs, glitches, and performance issues, something that developer Bethesda is famous, or rather infamous for. In the past, their previously released games like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4 were riddled with numerous issues ranging from small and hilarious to game-breaking and frustrating.

In an attempt to combat these issues, Starfield was postponed from its original release date of 11 November 2022 to September 6th, 2023 – a period of nearly ten months. As per game director Todd Howard, these extra ten months were well utilized in terms of eradicating bugs, and glitches and ensuring smoother performance on both PC and Xbox consoles.

Howard also said that the game was replayed by them multiple times to remove errors, make sure that the gameplay was balanced, calibrate other aspects, work on systems, and, naturally, make the game as entertaining for players as possible.
